So, how is it to date a Chick in a Wheelchair? I was watching the Episode of Curb your Enthusiasm on HBO, where Larry has an encounter of the Wheelchair Kind (which was a riot). Now come on Larry, do we all look alike, us wheelchair women? I say some of us Wheel Women could really give you a run for your money and you would never forget us. I know the blackberry thing was a bummer but damn, throwing the Wheelchair Wendy in the closet because your cell went in the ocean? Then you find a new wheelchair girl to replace the girl whose number you lost? Whatever!! If that were my girlfriends' buddy you would have tire marks all over your body. I am glad you squirmed your way out of that situation which I did think was pretty hilarious. Oh another attribute about us chicks in chairs? We have a sense of humor.

The study showed this information. More than half (58%) of the women with disabilities were single, compared to 45% of the women without disabilities. Regarding sexual orientation, 87% of the women with disabilities were attracted to men, 4% to women, 7% to both genders, and 2% to neither gender. The majority have been sexually active; 92% have had sex with a man, 16% with a woman, but 6% had never had sex with anyone. Women without disabilities were slightly more likely to have had sex with a man (94%), but were significantly more likely to have had sex with a woman (23%), or with both men and women (21%). Link to site information. Women who were disabled earlier in life tended to begin dating later than women who were disabled later in life or who were not disabled. Women with disabilities also tended to move away from home later than did women without disabilities. When the woman lived with her mother and her disability began in childhood, she was particularly susceptible to being overprotected. The women with disabilities whose parents encouraged dating and going out with friends tended to have more effective social skills.

If you’re a person with a disability, you’ve probably read your share of “Yes gimps get it on too!” articles. We all know it’s a true yet not very well known fact. In fact, I’ve written a great many deal of these articles; all for dozens of “dis” and “non-dis” publications/websites. So…that means you’ve probably already read some of my work. But, why is this particular CHLOE article so much more significant than any other piece I’ve done? Well in this article, my latest and greatest (humble as pie, aren‘t I?), I’m going to tell it like it is. No holds barred; with the end goal of helping some disabled lonely soul out there (and not some gratuitous freak) realize that yes, a sex life in THEIR life can exist, and even more importantly (especially if you live in a conservative state. ha), yes, you are allowed to get it on too. So here goes nothing..

Are you one of those people who wonder what a man is thinking, how he is planning to act or not act, and what makes him tick? Look no further. I, pledge to you, my fellow brothers and sisters with disabilities to put my heart and soul into this column to give you as much insight to the male mind and male heart as I possibly can. While I can’t obviously speak for all men, I do believe my generalities will be extremely insightful for you. Furthermore, considering that I have been a man for 38 years (my entire life…hey, I had to cover my bases here), I do have a level of knowledge and expertise on the subject. So, let’s lay-out some of the ground rules for this column…
